Natural Futures Volunteer Coordinator (Cheshire West and Wirral)

Salary: 19,000 - 21,000

Cheshire Wildlife Trust is looking for a new member of staff to join our Natural Futures Team, and support the delivery of a wide range of exciting conservation volunteering opportunities across Cheshire. This position specifically focuses on the delivery of volunteering work in Cheshire West and the Wirral, and is a real opportunity to protect the environmental heritage of the county through this work.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in an environmental or related discipline, and have experience of working with and leading groups of volunteers. They will also have experience of delivering a range of practical conservation work, and an understanding of wildlife habitats and their management. Ideally experience of working with young people not in education, employment, or training.

To be a successful candidate, you will need to be organised, conscientious, and an effective group leader able to work on your own initiative. You will have a calm and patient temperament, with an ability to motivate groups and get the best out of individuals.

A full driving licence and access to own vehicle are essential, and the ability to drive a minibus is highly desirable.

This post is a full time, fixed term contract until May 2019.
