About the event

A guided walk around our largest nature reserve looking for any species present, at this time of year the wintering birds are likely to dominate proceedings, but there's often something unexpected. Steve Holmes has been recording on the reserve for over 10 years and as a great general naturalist can switch effortlessly from birds to many insect genera and even the occasional plant! Expect to walk 3-5 km, but it's often slow going as Steve unearths huge numbers of species so some walks may overrun.
