Training for Teachers
Let us help you to deliver inspiring activities outside the classroom
Cheshire Wildlife Trust will provide bespoke training or teachers both in school and at our wildlife sites, such as the Quinta Nature Reserve. We can help teachers to gain confidence and skills which will enable them to deliver inspirational outdoor education sessions using school grounds and nearby green spaces.
Training sessions may include introductions to techniques used in pond dipping and minibeast hunting. They can provide ideas for the delivery of Literacy, Maths and Art outdoors and can provide ideas for Environmental Games which reinforce learning points in outdoor sessions to make even more fun. In these sessions we can also explore specific topic such as how to prepare for a greener Christmas or how to take the outdoors into an IT lesson.
We are very familiar with the Cheshire region and can help sign post you towards suitable venues outside of your school grounds where you can deliver environmental education.
We have Forest School practitioners on our team so if you want to learn more about Forest Schools in schools and/or would like a training day based on this activity then please get in touch.
We cover aspects around health and safety as part of all of our training delivery.
