Everything you need to know

Our online workshops will be hosted by Campaigns Team using Microsoft Teams 6.15pm – 7:30pm.

Sessions involve a mix of directly lead content and group-based tasks and discussion.

The main session will be recorded and circulated to participants. Please keep your camera off if you do not wish to be recorded. We won’t record breakout room discussions.

You'll be offered a 1-1 planning session with our campaigns team during the course to help you get started.

Is this training right for you?

As well as our five online workshops you'll also benefit from:

1 to 1 planning session with our campaigns team.

Access to technical advice.

Opportunities to network with like-minded individuals.

Ongoing campaign check-ins to see how you are getting on after the course.

What knowledge or experience do I need?

There are no experience or knowledge requirements to take part. Campaigns require a variety of skills from creativity to communication to organisation – whatever you can bring to the table will have a role to play! Our only ask is you come with an open mind and a commitment to the training programme.

Does wildlife and nature need to be our main concern?

This training is for campaigners who want to help wildlife. You might be concerned about additional issues (i.e. the loss of a community space) and that is fine, so long as it is not the only focus of your campaign.

What is Cheshire Wildlife Trust's policy on activism?

Cheshire Wildlife Trust stands united with all those who share our belief that nature is valuable in its own right as well as being essential to our existence. Disruptive and illegal activity are not methods Cheshire Wildlife Trust chooses, but we understand why many feel the need to demonstrate for action on climate and nature and we fully support their right to do so peacefully and legally.  As a charity we must comply with UK law and safeguard everyone who comes in to contact with the organisation.
