Cheshire Wildlife Trust is hiring

With COP26 happening in Glasgow this November, the Government’s commitment to a legal requirement for nature’s recovery through an Environment Act, and a pledge to put 30% of land into protection for wildlife before 2030, there has never been a more exciting and impactful time to join the team.

We must be ambitious to bring wildlife back to the region. By managing 30% of our land and seas for nature before 2030, we can begin to turn the tide of the ecological and climate emergencies we now face. Cheshire Wildlife Trust are looking for people to double the space currently given to wildlife in the region. Double the amount of carbon and water storing trees in the ground. Double the amount of food for our bees and butterflies in wildflower meadows. And double the amount of clean and healthy waterways for our otters and water voles. Could you help to achieve this?

Cheshire Wildlife Trust are currently hiring for seven people within our Nature Recovery Team, based all around our region of Cheshire, Halton, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Warrington and Wirral. We have various roles available for all stages of your career and development. Whether you’re just starting out, or an experienced project manager, we want to hear from you.

The roles

Programme Manager £32,000 - £36,000 depending on experience
Senior Living Landscape Officer £23,000 - £27,959 depending on experience
Living Landscape Officer £18,000 - £24,733 depending on experience

To apply for any of the positions described above, please send a copy of your CV as well as a covering letter to Emma Raine. Your CV should include details of your most recent employer and current salary. Your covering letter should explain which role you are applying for, who you are, where your passion for nature’s recovery comes from and why we should hire you.

Closing date for the receipt of applicants is midnight on Sunday 8th August 2021.
