About the event
Butterflies are indicators of a healthy ecosystem, which makes monitoring them incredibly important - and you can play a part!
Join us for an in-person workshop with Mike Perchard from Butterfly Conservation at Wigg Island —the perfect setting to practice your identification skills. You'll explore how to identify common Cheshire butterflies before learning how to set up your own butterfly transect so you can continue to monitor populations in your local area.
A butterfly transect is a fixed route that a person walks regularly to count butterflies, helping to track changes in their numbers over time.
Key Highlights:
- Improve your butterfly ID skills
- Learn how to set up your own butterfly transect
- Discover how your efforts can contribute to conservation
This free workshop is for adults only, and spaces are limited—so be sure to book your place today!
