Cheshire Wildlife Trust and local business Three Wrens Gin have been working together to create a special limited edition gin distilled from wildflowers in Cheshire.

The wildflowers that make the gin so special include elderflower and meadowsweet which were handpicked from the Trust’s nature reserves at Bickley Hall Farm and Hatchmere Nature Reserve.

The new ‘Meadow Flower’ gin also includes cornflower, lavender, wild rose and juniper  to delight your taste buds.

Even better, for every bottle sold, Three Wrens Gin will give £5 to Cheshire Wildlife Trust to support their work to bring wildlife back to the county, including the restoration of more precious wildflower meadows.

Nick Wadeson, Owner and Distiller of Three Wrens Gin said:
“It has been wonderful to create a gin with such great provenance, using botanicals that grow in the area all around us. We distilled the gin in small 50 litre batches very slowly using vapour infusion for the delicate florals alongside a healthy serving of rich juniper in the pot. We are lucky to have the Wildlife Trust only couple of miles away from the distillery, and hopefully this collaboration can assist their fantastic work in a small way, whilst also giving people the opportunity to add a delicious and rare edition to their Three Wrens collection.”

Jo Darlington, Director of Fundraising & Engagement added:
“I’d like to thank Nick and his team at Three Wrens Gin for producing this special new gin in support of our work here at the Trust. We’re always looking for new opportunities for local companies and people to support wildlife and we’re excited to announce the launch of this limited edition gin.  Having lost 99% of our meadows in the last sixty years, we’re so grateful for everybody’s support for our work to protect and create more species-rich grassland to bring back more bees, butterflies, birds and other wildlife. ”

If you’re looking for a unique gift for the gin lover in your life, why not support wildlife at the same time?
