Our Dee Estuary
About the project
Our Dee Estuary is a Tidal Dee Catchment Partnership project designed to inspire coastal communities on the Wirral and in Flintshire & Denbighshire about the natural heritage of the Dee Estuary. Led by Cheshire Wildlife Trust and supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The project aims to
- Make the Estuary a greater part of more people’s lives and a better place to live, work and play.
- Work with local communities, visitors and partners to ensure our natural heritage is better managed and recorded.
- Raise awareness of the habitats and wildlife along both sides of the Estuary.
- Empower local communities to reduce environmental impacts and offer training and life-long learning.

Caru Aber Dyfrdwy yn Bartneriaeth Dalgylch Dyfrdwy Lanwol sy’n ceisio ysbrydoli cymunedau arfordirol yng Nghilgwri ac yn Sir y Fflint a Sir Ddinbych ynghylch treftadaeth naturiol Aber Afon Dyfrdwy. Dan arweiniad Ymddiriedolaeth Bywyd Gwyllt Swydd Gaer gyda chefnogaeth Cronfa Dreftadaeth y Loteri Genedlaethol.
Nod y prosiect yw
- Bod yr Aber yn chwarae mwy o ran ym mywydau mwy o bobl ac yn lle gwell i fyw, gweithio a chwarae ynddo.
- Gweithio gyda chymunedau lleol, ymwelwyr a phartneriaid i sicrhau bod ein treftadaeth naturiol yn cael ei rheoli a'i chofnodi’n well.
- Codi ymwybyddiaeth o’r cynefinoedd a'r bywyd gwyllt ar ddwy ochr yr Aber.
- Grymuso cymunedau lleol i leihau effeithiau amgylcheddol a chynnig hyfforddiant a dysgu gydol oes.
