Why is Scything important?

Mowing a wildflower meadow once a year is essential for its long-term health, as removing the dead plant growth helps prevent excess nutrients from returning to the soil. This will be an early cut in March to scythe some areas of meadow that were missed last autumn.

Meeting Point
The meadow is on the other side of the bridge from the cafe in Queen's Park, Crewe.
