About the event

Have you ever had an idea to improve a community space for nature? Need to apply for a grant but don't know where to start?

Securing funding can feel daunting, especially if you've never applied for a grant before. This educational webinar is designed to help community groups, environmental projects and school grounds initiatives understand the basics of successful grant applications.

What you'll learn:

  • What funders are looking for in applications
  • Practical hints, tips, tactics and key factors to consider
  • Common mistakes and how to avoid them
  • An overview of potential funding sources for environmental and community projects

Over the course of this two-hour online session (including a 10-minute break), we'll explore the key factors that funders look for, common pitfalls to avoid, and practical tips to strengthen your applications. We'll also provide an overview of some of the funding opportunities available to environmental and nature-based projects.

Whether you're developing a new wildlife project, enhancing a community green space, or improving outdoor learning environments at your school, this session will help you take the first steps towards securing funding.
