Thor's rocks: Geology at Thurstaston Common

Wirral Walking Festival

From the car park we will climb to the viewpoint at the top of the hill, in order to look at the overall impact of the underlying geology of the scenery around the Dee Estuary. We will then tour Thurstaston Common looking at various outcrops of red sandstone.

 

The walk is led by Hilary Davies from Liverpool Geological Society.
