Sat, 26/05/2018 - 2:00pm - 4:00pm

As part of the Wirral Walking Festival join us on a guided walk led by Dr Hilary Davies looking at the fascinating geology of the Thurstaston coastline.

We will start at Wirral Country Park Thurstaston Visitor Centre and access the shore by the Station Road steps. These steps are steep but do have hand rails.

The event has been timed to be on a falling tide (low tide is around 4.30pm) so there will be ample beach clear of water. The route will go along the beach looking at the geology of the clay cliffs and the fossils in the rock armour – but not climbing on either!

Warm waterproof clothing and stout footwear are recommended.
