Meadow Products

We are delighted to announce the businesses supporting our ‘Save Our Marvellous Meadows’ Appeal.

They have all come up with exciting meadow-themed products as part of their ranges, with a percentage from every sale going towards Cheshire Wildlife Trust’s appeal.

If you are a Cheshire business who would like to be involved, get in touch with Sam Salisbury on 01948 820728, or e-mail ssalisbury@cheshirewt.org.uk

Meet the Makers

ARK Contemporary Designs
Angela Kennedy is a jewellery designer/maker from Cheshire. Using precious metals and precious gemstones her work is contemporary, simple and understated.

Angela loves clean elegant lines and this is reflected in her latest work with Cheshire Wildlife Trust. She has designed and made a piece to reflect the organisation’s meadow restoration work - a limited edition oxeye daisy pendant.

The pendant is made from sterling silver and is fully hallmarked by Birmingham Assay Office, where Angela is registered. £10 from the price of each pendant sold will go towards the Trust’s appeal.

Haughton Honey
Haughton Honey source their wild and raw honey from a network of keen apiarists (a fancy word for bee keepers) throughout Cheshire and the neighbouring counties. Being specialists in the supply of locally sourced raw wildflower honey, they were perfect partners for the very special meadow themed delicacies. They have kindly gifted some of their latest honey harvest to work in partnership with organisations producing dedicated products in support of the campaign.

Godfrey C Williams & Son
Godfrey C Williams & Son have been delighting Cheshire with their dazzling array world-class artisan food and drink since 1875. The quality of their cheeses in particular, have seen five generations of the Williams family invited to judge at some of the world’s largest and most prestigious cheese shows.

In aid of the Trust’s appeal they are creating a very special Cheshire Cheese, made in a traditional cheese press on site at their beautiful delicatessen in the old town square in Sandbach. This limited edition cheese will be using local Cheshire honey kindly donated by Haughton Honey, and £3 from every kilo sold will be donated to the appeal.

Backford Belles
Backford Belles are a fantastic example of how farm diversification can work. Starting out as an ice-cream maker just eight years ago - Backford Belles is now booming. The team create very special ice cream on their site just outside Chester, using milk exclusively from their own forty strong herd of Jersey cows. Delicious ice cream, combined with the on-site tea room and children’s play area, have turned the farm into a local destination site that is bulging at the seams most weekends.

In aid of our appeal Backford Belles have created a wonderful Wildflower Honey Ice Cream, using locally sourced Haughton Honey, and are kindly donating 10% of the sale price to the Trust’s appeal.
