Calling all budding photographers!

Calling all budding photographers!

Cheshire Wildlife Trust are looking for gorgeous photos of wildlife and wild places across Cheshire, Halton, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Warrington and Wirral for their photography competition.

Each year, 12 winners (and 12 runners up) make up their annual calendar and they’re looking for entries to feature in 2024!

Last year’s winner was a stunning photograph of a great crested grebe family, taken at Black Lake, Wilmslow by Steve Palmer.

“We’re looking for photographs that celebrate the variety of wildlife and landscapes our region has to offer. We’re looking for that iconic Cheshire view. Whether that be the Wirral coastline, Delamere Forest, Bickerton Hill, Kerridge Hill, Peckforton, the Cloud or White Nancy.

"It could be wildlife you spot in a local park, woodland, meadow or even your own garden! We’d also love to see examples of urban wildlife living in our towns and cities.

"We’d love the calendar to reflect the seasons, so we encourage people to look through photos they’ve previously taken during autumn and winter. We can’t wait to see what wildlife people capture.”Rachel Bradshaw, Cheshire Wildlife Trust Digital and Media Officer and Photographer.

Funds raised by the sale of the calendar are used to protect wildlife and wild spaces across Cheshire.
