Create a Wilder Workplace

Invite nature to your workplace

Access to nature is known to benefit people’s physical and mental health, leading to reductions in depression, anxiety and obesity. Employers have an important role to play in helping improve the wellbeing of their staff and Cheshire Wildlife Trust can offer a helping hand.

Our Wilder Workplace proposition will create a green space mutually beneficial for your staff and wildlife.

With a lot of wasted space in our towns and cities, there's a tremendous opportunity to transform these spaces into bright colourful places full of life. Any area, no matter how small can be transformed; whether it’s a rooftop, section of car park or even an unused and unloved area within your community a few minutes’ walk from your office.

Creating a Wild Workplace will not only involve physical activities, but transfer knowledge to participants and result in a tangible, rewarding difference that you can experience day after day.

There are three steps involved:

  1. Identify a space
  2. WILDER WORKPLACE team day
  3. Ongoing maintenance and ownership
