Cheshire Wildlife Trust are recruiting for a Wilder Lives Officer to support our work with Champions (leaders within communities and organisations championing nature and wildlife) with the goal of inspiring more people to take action for nature and climate.

Nature is in trouble. We have reached a tipping point. Wildlife is in freefall both locally and nationally and our climate is in crisis. By 2030 we must see nature recovering, wildlife returning, and ecosystems restored and we need many, many more people on nature’s side. We urgently more people to take action to bring nature back across our region.

As Wilder Lives Officer, you will join our Wilder Engagement Team, responsible for developing self-sustaining networks of champions across Cheshire. You will be instrumental in organising and delivering dynamic networking events and training sessions, fostering relationships with champions from various backgrounds, and collect engaging stories to inspire others. Your efforts in planning and promoting events, coupled with your keen eye for monitoring and evaluating their success, will be crucial in inspiring action for nature and advancing our strategic goals.

This is a permanent, full-time position.

Applications close at midnight on Wednesday 8th May. Interviews will be held on the 14th or 15th May.

At Cheshire Wildlife Trust we embrace agile working with a focus on supporting you to achieve your objectives alongside a healthy work-life balance. We operate a hybrid working policy with most staff working at least part of the week from home and/or out on site.

To apply for this role, send your cover letter (no more than 1 side of A4 in PDF format) and CV to jobs@cheshirewt.org.uk.
