Pre-school children aged from two to five can join Sammy Squirrel and friends at Marbury Country Park every Tuesday morning during term time to play outdoor games, listen to stories and make nature themed crafts.

Based around Forest School principles, Nature Tots provides a wonderful opportunity for youngsters to experience and learn from nature.

Robyn Moseley, People and Wildlife Officer at Cheshire Wildlife Trust, said: “We play games and outdoor activities themed around wildlife. Every session is different – one week we might go hunting for minibeasts, another week we’ll search for twigs, leaves, and seeds to make colourful, textured collages to take home, and we always tell stories and explore our surroundings. The sessions encourage independent learning and team working – all of which will help to boost communication skills, problem-solving, physical development and creativity.”

She added “We go outside rain or shine, so please dress for the weather and be ready to get wet and muddy.”

Sessions cost £3.50 and run from 10am – 11.30am. Booking is essential. For more information and to book a space visit www.cheshirewildlifetrust.org.uk/whats-on
