There are two distinct garden areas for visitors to enjoy – an extensive parkland and two walled gardens.
The parkland boasts a 3-acre wildflower meadow, surrounded by 400 metres of hedgerow which is in the process of being laid by Wirral Wildlife volunteers, a local group of Cheshire Wildlife Trust.
The hedgerow connects four areas, one with a summerhouse, and acts as a wildlife corridor between two areas of woodland. This area is laid out along lines made famous by "Capability" Brown, with a ha-ha disguising the boundary between the lawn and meadow.
