About the event

This popular trip leaves at low tide and walks two miles across the sands to Hilbre Island.

It’s a great trip out featuring rock pools, geological interest, bird and seal watching.

Our meeting point will be the slipway on the junction of South Parade and Dee Lane. We will then make our way across to Hilbre Island.

Please note:

  • Pay and display parking available.
  • This is an exclusive member only event.
  • This event is only suitable for over 16s.
  • Dogs are allowed as long as they are kept on leads.
  • There is uneven ground on this walk. Please refer to Wirral Country Park | wirral.gov.uk for more information

There are also no shops on the island so bring a packed lunch and plenty to drink.
There are composting toilets.
