You can now say that YOU have brought beavers back to Cheshire for the first time in over 400 years.

With beavers at Hatchmere, they’ll naturally enrich the wetland ecology by building their dams. The dams will create pools in Hatchmere, great for fish and the animals that feed on them, as well as letting sediment settle and cleaning the water downstream. The trees and branches they will use for the dams will also allow more light to reach the woodland floor, meaning more plants and pollinators can thrive.
