Become a Wilder Champion

As a Wilder Champion you will be part of a network of like-minded people taking action for nature and encouraging others to do the same. We will help and support you every step of the way.

From us:

  • Training and workshops throughout the year to help you develop the skills and knowledge to run your own projects in your community, school or workplace.
  • Support to develop your projects through digital toolkits and online resources
  • Opportunities to network and share ideas with a like-minded community
  • Access to mentoring & professional support from members of the Cheshire Wildlife Trust team to help develop your project
  • Help and materials to enable you to promote your project

For you:

  • It will help you to deliver a successful campaign/project, giving you the confidence to launch and achieve your own wildlife objectives
  • You'll benefit from peer-to-peer support throughout your project and beyond
  • It will give you the skills to be a champion in your chosen wildlife area, either in your group or the wider wilder Cheshire community

The legal bits:

  • The role of a Wilder Champion is not as a representative or employee of the Trust. We are here to support you and your project, not the other way around!
  • You remain responsible for your activities and events at all times. Cheshire Wildlife Trust cannot accept responsibility for them, or provide you with insurance. We can provide you with guidance on how to access the right insurance, and the health and safety requirements you need to consider.
