Wild Network Trainee
Made possible with funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Cheshire Wildlife Trust is offering a funded trainee role designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge and real-world experience needed to engage communities, support events and activities, and inspire more people to help nature thrive.
I really enjoyed it! I loved the staff and flexibility, I'd recommend the traineeship to anyone wanting to break into the sector.
The hands-on experience I've gained, coupled with the support of a passionate team and dedicated volunteers, has only strengthened my commitment to conservation efforts.
This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience of helping people and communities take action for nature. As a Wild Network Trainee, you’ll work within our Mobilisation Team, developing the organisational, communication and professional skills needed for a career in the environmental or charity sector.
This role is made possible with funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to develop the Wild Network project, which aims to build a stronger, more skilled and better-connected movement of people taking action for nature in Cheshire.
As part of the project, you’ll support the planning and delivery of training sessions, workshops, talks and events across the county, helping to inspire people to connect with and care for the natural world while supporting the growth of the Wild Network.
Whether you’re looking for your first role, considering a career in community engagement, events or the environmental sector, changing career, or simply passionate about helping people engage with nature, this trainee opportunity provides an excellent foundation. You’ll receive mentoring, on-the-job training and opportunities to develop your confidence, skills and knowledge while contributing to Cheshire Wildlife Trust’s vision of creating a Wilder Cheshire.
At Cheshire Wildlife Trust we embrace agile working with a focus on supporting you to achieve your objectives alongside a healthy work-life balance. We operate a hybrid working policy with most staff working at least part of the week from home and/or out on site.
