Events Volunteer

Location:
Sites around Cheshire, Cheshire
Are you passionate about wildlife and nature? Do you want to help us to inspire and enable the people of Cheshire to take action for nature? We are looking for a team of volunteers to support our events!

We are always on the lookout for passionate volunteers to join us at our events. We host our own events as well as having stalls at some large festivals throughout the county. We chat with visitors about how they can help wildlife in their local area and encourage visitors to take part in some of our wildlife friendly craft activities.

Main tasks include:

  • Supporting staff to represent the Trust at County shows, festivals and smaller community events
  • Raising awareness of what we do, spreading the message to visitors and encouraging everyone to 'do their bit'
  • Help to deliver crafts such as seed bomb making
  • You will become part of a friendly and dedicated team, meeting people from all walks of life. You will gain knowledge from staff about wildlife conservation and enjoy sharing your experiences with others.

We will provide all training, and you do not need to be an expert in wildlife or conservation to take part. We ask that volunteers:

  • Have a passion for wildlife and the natural world
  • Have a friendly, approachable nature and enjoy meeting new people
  • Are confident speaking to the public
  • Have your own transport

For insurance purposes all of our volunteers need to be over the age of 18.
Cheshire Wildlife Trust would love to keep in contact with you about the local work of the Trust and the other ways you can get involved. You can update the way you hear from us by emailing info@cheshirewt.org.uk or calling 01948 820728.
